Creating a website takes time.

Whether your website is huge or tiny, collaboration and  design planning are necessary to make sure everything functions as intended and looks fantastic.

I always begin by learning about your business goals to get a clear understanding and avoid surprises.

That being said, the scope of the project and the functionality required can have an impact on the time frame. Most sites are completed within 3-4 weeks from the proposal acceptance and provision of content.

The price of website design is influenced by a wide range of variables.

How many main pages and subpages a website will have is the primary determining element when estimating the cost of a new web design project.

Informational pages can usually be reproduced, and the content pasted more readily than top-level pages, which normally cost more since they require more modification. Writing content, graphic design, hosting, integrations, etc. are other aspects.

Depending on the total scale of a project, rates can go over that range, but they normally fall between $2000 and $8,000 for most. 

Anyone who has worked with a “cheap” web company knows that the results can only be described as, well, “cheap.”

A web designer is focused on the website’s visual layout and elements (the look and feel).

Web development is focused on making the design work in your web browser (functionality and interaction).

We start work after you have paid the initial 30% deposit.

Once you have signed off on the design, we ask for the second 30% payment to begin building your site. The final 40% payment is due when the site is ready to go live.

If for some reason the site can’t go live because you haven’t been able to provide the content/images, we may also ask for a progress payment for the work that has been completed. You can also see more of our Terms and conditions here.

We include two rounds of revisions as a part of your quote.

We will come up with what we think will work for you, but in most cases, a few things will need to be modified. You provide feedback and we will revise the design and resubmit for approval.

Each time we send you a copy of the design back for approval, that is a round of revision. Take your time on the first round to look through and give us as much information about what you like and don’t like, so we can do them all in one go and you only use one round of revision for the changes.

For simple maintenance and updates, you can expect to pay between $50-$100/month.

You can manage your website on your own.

But you do need to log into your frequently. Most businesses don’t have time or technical staff, which is why we offer it, along with several other important items.

WordPress is a good target for hacking due to its popularity. The main way WordPress websites get hacked, is through lack of updates.

We can teach you how to look after your site, but if you don’t want to do it yourself, we can do it for you. In that case, we highly recommend that you have really good quality hosting and choose a company with good support.

For the most part, yes. However, we provide premium hosting with on Siteground.

Most of the time it is much harder for us to monitor security and keep websites running as fast as we’d like, on another host. But the great news, is that we’ll move your site to our servers for you if you’d like us to host and manage your WordPress website.

Our plans are tailored to your website. Keeping it simple, a small business website with 5-10 pages and no extra complexity, our Essential package starts at $49 per month. If you have a more complicated website or need extra storage you will be looking at the Advanced plan starting at $69 per month.

Charged separately at the standard hourly rate:

  • Major customizations.
  • Swapping out extensions for new ones.
  • While we do our very best to keep your site secure, there is always a risk of getting hacked. If your website gets hacked and we are unable to use one of your backups to restore to, the cost of having your site cleaned professionally will be start at $249+ per incident.
  • If a major release of a plugin, theme, or WordPress causes issues that break functionality on your website this will need to be repaired. This time is not included in your maintenance package. We will let you know if this happens and will give you a quote for the amount of time required to fix the issue.
  • If there is a conflict between two of your plugins, the time required to fix this will be in addition to your package and charged at our hourly rate.

You can cancel hosting and maintenance packages at any time, they will expire at the end of that month.

We ask that you give us 2 weeks notice if you’re planning to move your site elsewhere so we can prepare your website files for you.

Moving onto a new host is easy, and if you choose to stay with Siteground, but on your own hosting account, the process will be as painless as possible.

If you choose to host elsewhere, we will package up your site so you can move it to your new host.
